Vier Tage schwesterliche Zweisamkeit in Swinging London stand im Mai auf dem Programm. Wie üblich hatte ich ein Programm für unseren Aufenthalt ausgearbeitet. Wir Hatten ein schönes Hotel im Viktorianische Stil über den Ufern der Themse für uns ausgesucht. Im Stadtteil Richmond fanden wir ein schöne Vorstadt Atmosphäre vor- ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, doch gleich Mitten in der City.
Mai in London hieß alle Jahreszeiten in vier Tagen, von kühl im Regen bis heiß in der Sonne war alles dabei.
Wir machten einen Spaziergang durch die Portobello Road mit ihren Antiquitäten Läden und dem Wochen und Flohmarkt, erholten uns im Hyde Park und shoppten in Regent und Oxford Street.
Wir besuchten Trafalgar auf seiner Säule, aßen Fish and Ships im Pub und schauten bei „Lisbet“ im Buckingham Palast vorbei. Natürlich fehlte auch nicht die Dampferfahrt auf der Themse – of course! Tea Time bei Selfridges und Souvenirs von Harrods mussten natürlich auch sein.
Und Abends ins Dominion Theatre, WE WILL ROCK YOU, das Queen Musical stand auf dem Programm. Für mich zum zweiten Mal – und das kann ich immer wieder haben! Danach zum Dinner und Cocktails nach Soho.
So lässt es sich leben als Ladies aus Bayern in London.
Through Carnaby Street
Four sister’s days in Swinging London stood in May on the programme. As usual I had worked out a programme for our stay. We having a nice hotel in the Victorian style about the shores of the Thames for us select. In the part of town Richmond we found one nice suburb atmosphere pre quiet and idyllic situated, however, immediately in the middle of the city.
May in London was called all seasons in four days, from chilly in the rain to hotly in the sun everything was present. We went for a walk by the Portobello Road with her antiques to stores and the week and flea market, recovered in Hyde Park and shopped in Regent and Oxford Street.
We visited Trafalgar on his column, ate Fish and Ships in the pub and called in on „Lisbet“ in Buckingham palace. Of course the steamboat journey on the Thames – of course, was also not absent! Tea time with Selfridges and souvenirs of Harrods had to be of course also.
Evening in the Dominion Theatre, WE WILL ROCK YOU, the queen musical stood on the programme. For myself for the second time – and this I can have over and over again! Afterwards to the dinner and cocktails to Soho.
Thus it can be lived as ladies from Bavaria in London.
